Don't worry, beer happy!

It's cozy March! We kicked off cozies with the bowl cozy last week, so this time, in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day, we thought.. beer cozies! Not just any beer cozy.. one in the shape of a leprechauns' hat! How cute is that? No rainbow chasing necessary!

Most Leprechaun legends can be traced back to the 8th century tales of water spirits which were known as ‘luchorpán’ which means ‘small body’. It is said that these spirits merged with a household fairy and developed a penchant for heavy drinking so no cellar was safe! According to other researchers, the term Leprechaun actually comes from the Irish term ‘leath brogan’ which means shoemaker. Whatever the origin, I've always found them adorable and fun!

You can easily use scrap yarn for this, all you need is green, yellow and black yarn, scissors, needle and a 5 mm hook! And don't forget your drink ;) The pattern for this adorable cozy can be found here.

Irish Proverb

"A good friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have."
